118. Song Saturday: 12/29/07 Rob Schwimmer’s CD…seriously…jazz…theremin
Original Compositions for
piano and theramin
Yesterday I introduced you to the Polygraph Lounge;
The Cerebral Jukebox proudly presents
Cousin Rob Schwimmer’s
Beyond The Sky
Addendum!
**Hello, Theremin enthusiasts, friends, interested non-enthusiasts, and anyone I’ve missed–
Start off your New Year on the right foot at the first THEREMIN SOCIETY concert of ’08 this Friday (1/4/08) @ 8PM at the Issue Project Room in beautiful Brooklyn! (Directions below)
“Rob Schwimmer’s Pellucid Dream(s) for Theremin is a 20 minute work depicting the unpredictability of the dream state. Sometimes beautiful, sometimes funny, serious, theatrical and often irreconcilable, it promises to an entertaining and musically thrilling evening…not to mention some serious theremin playing!”
Also included in this concert will be another new commission by David Simons. Also there will be a screening of 2 films by Jesper Just featuring music by the Theremin Society’s own Dorit Chrysler! The evening will be rounded out by the first TS performance by Duett for Theremin and Lapsteel–That sounds reasonably wiggly, doesn’t it. Once again all thanks to Suzanne Fiol, the Executive & Artistic Director for the Issue Project Room
