Looka my new stuff! This year has been full of celebrations; I was in the mood for a little serious shopping, after all, it’s sale time.
The dress is Kay Unger, beautiful polished cotton in a gleamy gunmetal with white dots. There’s actually a small crinoline at the hem. Started out at over $400: SALE! COUPONS! way under 1/2 price…
I decided it needed some color POP! Went to a discount shoe store; Nada.
Went to Macy’s with no expectations, but there was a SALE so I pulled out the stops on coupons and pulled another nice save.
The outfit: dress is fitted at the bodice, low cut, collar, cap sleeve, has beautiful seam work, flares at the hip. Self-belt.
The shoes are orange and raspberry, orange heel, 2-tone bow, patent leather…even found a clutch to tie it all together. The shoes just make me smile. I feel like I got a new box of Crayolas.

I used to teach at a fashion High School–I actually interpreted for my deaf students there, but went to all the classes with them and taught the academics.

Thats so cool Sue. You know Astrid, my daughter is such a fashionista, she draws and design dresses (only in the drawings) and she is so into fashion and all that. When she had her photoshoot for birthday, the photgrapher asked her where did she learn to pose like that…I knew it was from the fashion world that she lives in., of course now she is more into photgraphy and she did a good job with the photoshoot (did yous see it?). If she wouldn’t have her health problems I wouldn’t know how to keep her clam because she is into so many things, and she is so talented on a diverse range of things.here is the link to our photoshoot http://ppiccola.multiply.com/journal/item/405?mark_read=ppiccola:journal:405&replies_read=25When I lived in England, everyone asked me if I had designers dressing me..he he..I didn’t know if that was sarcastic or not, but I was raised in Peru, latin america, we have an habit of being always well dressed, specially with accessories that makes us more feminine!

I love shoes too. I can’t wear some of the styles of footwear I did when I was younger but I still like a pretty pair of shoes.
