302. Photo Journal: My NYC Lake
Many people don’t realize that New York City is a city of many neighborhoods spread out among the five boroughs. I live in a “laid-back” area that appears suburban but still has excellent public transit and close proximity to shopping. It’s nice to have the option to walk to everything, and it is also nice to have a lake–yes a lake nearby. It’s 7/10 of a mile around. Great for exercising and meditating. I am intrigued by the ever changing light, reflections, and textures. There’s always a surprise. (click to enlarge each photo)
I took my camera and headed for the lake. Please join me on my walk…

Aw! Somebody lost their teddy bear. Nice photos. Very nice. It’s been a long time since I went for a walk around Wascana Lake here in the city. Maybe it’s time……..

Sue each and every photo is to me very harmonious and picturesque. What a wonderful place to visit and to stroll around. Having everything within walking distance is such a bonus too.
Loved the teddy. |

I would so love to be there right now. How lovely!I’d also love to print a couple of these and hang them. Do you ever sell photos? Also, my husband bought me a very nice printer which uses pigment ink and can do large photos. If you ever want anything printed, just say the word.

Great pics – every city needs a “lung”, a chill-out zone. I was thinking the same thing!!!!! It looks like it was assaulted!!! 🙁

Kate, it is not easy to get that format–takes me a long time to set up a page.

Your dad taught you well. Thanks Bill. I taught myself a lot over the years–that what we see is the some of thousands of parts.

Also, I have chosen one of 2 of the widest blog templates which I think allows me to do this. It would be interesting to see if you can too. (black iris and the city are the templates, don’t know how to get the width any other way.)It’s confusing, I know but I like the ultimate effect.

I am not sure if my editing to 3 ” changes anything–Multiply might have a default setting. I assume if I make it smaller I might get more across.
It just seemed like a better way to display a lot of stuff. |
