538. The Nine Lives Times: Little Arnold Update 11/5/10: 1+1=3
Here’s the Kitty Litter Scoop Weekend Edition
For quite a while Arnold has been hanging out with an orange buddy,
Sorbet. I’ve noted a lot of kitty hollering outside probably due to territory issues. Little did I know…
The cat that I had been calling “Sorbet” had a brother, uncle or cousin.
It looks like there are two orange buddies visiting the feeding station now.
Who knew??
I now refer to the smaller orange guy as Sorbet and the bigger guy as Sorbetto.
Both are very sweet. Pretty soon I’ll have every feral cat in the borough eating at my feeding station.

Love the kitty litter scoop LOL!Arnold has such a lovely face. I think he’s an old soul. It makes me sad there are so many homeless cats, but it makes me feel better there are angels like you who help them. Such a charming blog, I’ve missed you!!! |

Ha…”the Sorbs” I LOVE THAT!!! I didn’t see them this morning, just lonely little Arnold waiting on the chair. I wish he’d use that house I built for him last year.
Maybe I should move in…. |

I am glad you are taking car eof the cats and that Arnold is thriving. Love the names Sorbet and Sorbetto. That would make a great name for a tv show… there was Cagney and Lacey, McMillan and Wife…now there are Sorbet and Sorbeto ;).

Hi, Jo, well, the latest on Little Arnold is reported by my neighbor. Though I haven’t seen him in a few days, he camps out on their porch while the orange guys come to mine. Seems Arnold has an eye infection or a wound. I’m worried about him. Can’t catch him or pick him up to get him to a vet. Might have to call the guy who trapped him and took him to be neutered and get shots. Or maybe my neighbor’s daughter who is an MD can get us some antibiotics.

You can crush the antibiotics and mix them into food. When I lived in AL and worked at the DV shelter there, a feral kitten was the only one left by animal control–they could not catch her. I ha not yet gained her trust, and she had gotten her paw caught in something, so a vet gave e some sntibiotics and she ate them in the food. I eventally ended up keeping her until I found a home for her, because I tamed her and like the author says in The Little Prince, one is responsible for what one tames. I think Arnold will be fine.
