7. Life is a Journey, But This is a Trip: The Magic Oil/Migraine Update
Good morning to you, reader and a happy Saturday. Though the face of every newspaper and newscast is enough to make me cringe, I am learning to contain and reframe my anxiety about the state of the world. CBD oil(s) do help. What is even more miraculous is that the migraine issue, though deeply rooted over my lifetime is hanging on, I can happily report improvements. It’s time for an update!
My migraine issues are reflective of what I think are chemical/electric cycles in the brain, a kind of build-up that needs to be discharged. I have written about the nasty vertigo, the vision loss and the fatigue. Some episodes ride piggy-back on one another and may start up again within the episode or later in the hour or day. I have had as many as four in one day.
In September, I had 4-5 episodes of full auras and was able to resolve 7 or decrease the length. Any headache pain was mild and didn’t need any oral medication.
In October, I had 4-5 episodes and was able to stop 2. Any headache pain was mild and didn’t require any oral medication.
In the past I would often have a cluster headache at least once monthly which could last as long as a week. I would pop Advil and migraine meds for fleeting relief. If the weather changed or the barometer changed, there I was, holding my head. As I am also taking the new federally approved drug, Aimovig, it is possible that it is helping the pain issue, as that is what it is geared to. I have not had to take any pain medication for months.
To remind you, Medical Marijuana is available on a state-by-state basis, requiring certification and a dispensary sale. State info.
CBD oil (cannabis or hemp) does not have psychoactive properties (THC), is available on-line and in various stores, legal in all states, however I did hear rumors about it no longer being available in Ohio and possibly a couple of others. It requires reading and research as to the dosing (micro-dosing is recommended at the beginning and building up as needed. Everyone is different and it requires some experimentation.)
A very informative website provides a load of information. CBDOilUsers.com
CBD (cannabidiol) comes in oil for sublingual dosing, preloaded vapes, oil for vapes, creams, lotions, roll-ons, gummies, chocolate. I provided a number of links in previous blogs. I just ordered a bottle for my kitty who has arthritis and thryroid issues. It is supposed to help pets nicely. I ordered it after doing some research at Innovetpet.com. https://www.innovetpet.com/products/purcbd
What is very encouraging is that folks with opioid addictions can find relief and release from the horrid prescribed drugs by using this natural solution. And smokers can address their addiction by transitioning to vaping and then ditching the nicotine and taking CBD. It’s a new world.
There is hope. Updates to come.
Addendum: shortly after writing this I felt an ocular issue coming on; the typical, barely perceptible blind spot. I took some oil, vaped Medical Marijuana and some extra CBD vape and within 10 minutes it obliterate the migraine in progress. I often get this reaction to computer and phone screens; the type of light appears to be a trigger.
The first of the series on CBD oil/medical marijuana, begins here.

Sue, I am so glad that you seem to be doing MUCH better!
After your encouraging reports, I’ve decided it’s time for me to at least try the CBD oil. I’m also going to talk to my pain management Dr. about medical marijuana. I can’t take the pain in my back and longer, and the opioids are barely working.
Thanks for sharing. I hope you have continued success with your new found relief. 😘
How amazing it really works. Now it’s legal here and within a week all the street stores and online were out of stock… lol I guess I’ll have to wait a little more to try some.
Such great good news!!!!❤️
This is such wonderful news. I’m so glad this is helping you. Maybe I should look into it eventually for the intermittent muscle ache in my neck. Keep me posted about your progress!
