I am so sick of writing checks to this place, I cringe when I take out the check book, what a waste of my mother’s precious funds that are draining like water from a holey bucket.

I Wish I knew a lawyer with a big mouth and a mighty pen. There are so few truthful staff members. I just keep encountering one doublespeaker after another. Yesterday there was a rat that came out in the evening. It ate through a box of oatmeal and a PLASTIC container of cookies. A trap was set but it was too big and escaped.

Enclosed please find a check for $2,577.00 to cover rent for month of May 2013 for my mother, P______  ________, in apartment _____.

I am paying this month’s rent with the hope and expectation that various maintenance issues will be remedied immediately:

·         vermin; the ongoing presence of rats is unacceptable and a health hazard;

·         cracked sink (since move-in) this may require replacement of entire vanity unit; considering how much my mother is paying monthly I don’t understand the hesitation and delay in dealing with cosmetic issues ensued by previous occupant(s)

·         inoperable garbage disposal (for weeks); why is this taking so long?

·         meals: appropriately prepared and available for pick-up as requested.

And I think I was being nice about this. The ombudsman bought into their saying they are working on the problem. We are still waiting.

The sink was like this when my mother moved in. For the amount of money she pays, don’t you think she deserves a new one?  Steve #1 said it’s not gonna happen. You know the old line about setting precedents. Like anyone else would know. And what’s the problem with replacing the garbage disposal unit?

Maybe the next stop is a local television station.
