Sick Kitty Update 4: A Visit, 11/11/13
I felt the need to see Play again. He’s eating but I didn’t get the feeling that anyone was thrilled with his healing progress. I didn’t get a chance to see the vet. I know a lot of dead tissue was removed last Friday in hopes that it would help. He doesn’t appear to feel anything when the wound is cleaned. This former fighter has mellowed out and is less combative. I am hoping he isn’t losing his spirit.
He is a three-legged diabetic kitty who now has a cold and conjunctivitis. I think he must have gotten a cold from a little sneezing kitten in a cage across the way. Just what he needed.
I asked for something to clean his eyes and the tech gave me eye wash on a cotton ball. No sooner did I finish they were dripping again. This poor guy doesn’t catch a break. Or maybe I shouldn’t look at it like that: he’s still alive. A bit worse for the wear, kind of raggedy looking from not grooming himself. So I tried to smooth him out and gave him his vitamin and a treat.
I spent a good while petting his face and got that purr going.
Hang in there, little buddy.
Thanks Joann and gang!
Poor Play… I hope he gets better soon (cold and eyes). But, you know? He looks somewhat fierce and strong as a cute little lion with an elegant collar on. On the other photos, he looked just like a cute kitty babe to me. His color is certainly similar to that of a lion… Grrrr!
It’s so hard to see our furry friends recuperating …but I am positive Play benefits from your loving visits and will turn the corner very soon Believe!xoxo
Larry and Lucy both wish Play a speedy recovery!

myGreatGrandchildren just looked in on play.they said ahhaaaah!Jayden prays for Play,Trinity does not understand.I will keep praying.God Bless youall.I wish play could catch a wonderful miracle.I know your visits are helpful.I think play would be better off with you personally, unless she is getting chemo.I just hope and pray Susan.blessingstoallxxxxx
No chemo, I think that would do him in. But he needs attention and medication that I can’t provide. An IV, a confined place. The last time he spend a long time at the vet he caught a cold and came home and made the other cats very sick. Difficult situation.
