On This 9/11 …
The new, beautiful NYC skyline renews hope, masks pain
Since 9/11, September has never been an easy month. In fact, the reality of the events get harder to face each year. Something which never should have happened, did, and the world changed forever.
Each year I post links to a series of blogs about the history of The World Trade Center to the present. We New Yorkers left to survive that day will never forget.

I was at my desk when a co-worker called to tell me a plane struck one of the towers. Then she called back to tell the other tower was struck. The reality hit me hard. As sad as it was, I couldn’t tear myself away from the television. That night, we all waited and prayed that one of our neighbors would make it home. He didn’t.
On this day in 1926, my mother-in-law was born.
That day is seared into my dna. Horrible, awful day!!
I do not know of anyone directly that died that day, but I grieve just the same.
