From the “I Tried Everything ” department, my last medications for a number of years, were  self-administered injections of aimovig, then Emgality with a co-pay of almost $160/month.

They stopped working. The incidents of episodes was creeping back up toward chronic.

It was time for a change.

I had my first infusion which requires me to go every three months.

When I arrived home after the first infusion, I got an ocular migraine. I told myself the medicine needed time to circulate and to give it a chance. That was last Tuesday. It is over a week later and I have not had an episode, however today I felt that one wanted to give me a vertigo spin. I was highly anxious. And as I write this I feel one coming on: the power of suggestion? Occasionally I see a red spot in my line of vision, sometimes blue; migraine plays weird tricks. I’ll wait a few minutes to see what happens …

Now, I feel like I am having a barely perceptible ocular migraine …

I no longer take CBD oils per se but I have been taking  gummies (Charlotte’s Web) for years. I stopped using anything related to vaping when the news indicated that tobacco vaping could be dangerous.

A few more minutes went by and I am OK. This stuff seems to stop the brain spasm in the occipital lobe which cause the vision loss.

I’ll wait some more … but then!

Here it comes: I had a very long, intense ocular migraine. I was so hoping this would, could work. I know it’s still early in the scheme of things but I am disappointed. The number of monthly episodes is supposed to be diminished.
