THIS is SCOTT WADE. Check out what he does with the dirty cars by carefully and artfully removing portions of the dirt. According to his web site, he lives real close to a dirt road in San Marcos , Texas …

This is great! I love urban art that uses materials we never think of as anything other than our usual surroundings.

I thought of Agnes with the “Girl with a Pearl Earring” too! What a way to make beauty out of … dirt! 🙂
I’ve been to San Marcos, oddly, but didn’t remember is as overly dusty LOL. He is brilliant. Like Sweetie, I love when artists use unconventional media, and it’s obvious he has a lot of talent, very cool. |

If he did a masterpiece on my car, I would spray it with shellac to preserve it. If it was on the windshield, it might prove to be a little problematic; but I’ll just live with it, bobbing my head back and forth, and up and down, while driving.–M

wow…………..clever man, this is a bit like pavement art in that it is amazingly good but temporary. There is something admirable about a man who happily creates masterpieces knowing they are destined to be short lived………..it sort of adds to what they are

That’s great. I agree with forgetmenot–it is special to be able to create something you know is destined to be destroyed, and sooner rather than later.
