Just posting now, as I have been busy with taxes and thinking I could actually make a holiday dinner. Well I made a small one with one of the aides.

Tired. Just Plain Tired.
Excuse my absence. I am now walking around attached to a “wound vac” which is supposed to cut healing time in half. Whatever that means. I am pushing it today: all I feel like doing is sleeping.
Spring holidays are coming. No plans for anything major. Or minor. I can’t stand at the stove.
I am thinking about letting the aides go this week. If I have someone here on Easter, that’s time and a half: $750 for the day: I can’t see this. Hoping I feel more independent during the week. After 4 weeks of much needed help the accrued cost.
Addendum: the aides are staying, won’t go into details, but I have to be smart about continued care for a while longer.

Meanwhile, back in the nursing home, I finally got a call back from the social worker: he said he had just left Robert’s room and that he looked well and seemed to be doing well (for Robert).
Erik said: I am going to be calling Susan now, is there anything you want me to tell her?
And Robert said: Just tell her I love her.
