Song In My Head Tuesday: The Band
I switched on PBS the other night and fell into some nostalgic reverie. After that I have been unable to get the song, “It Makes No Difference” out of my head. (see video at 10:42) Call it post-election-funk, or disbelief each time I read the newspaper at the state of this world. I do believe we are going through a strange period in history and I do believe that even knowing and understanding history is not changing anything in the present.
So, I pack my mental bags and leave to my sci-fi fantasy world which includes: Westworld, Orphan Black, Game of Thrones … Sometimes it’s easier to live in those strange, dark worlds than this one.
Let’s go back to an earlier time and forget this world for a while. In my opinion, The Band was one of the most brilliant groups.

I always loved The Band.
I didn’t know this band. Maybe I was to young! Thank you to introduce it to me.
Great post.
Sue, we share your love of The Band, think Joni Mitchel is the most unique brilliant singer/songwriter, adore Dr John; saw him recently in flushing meadow park Louis Armstrong festival, were sad to see him so feeble but his performance still moved. Thanks for this posting. ‘lainie
