The Cat Journey Continues
In a previous post I asked for CLARITY.
We went to visit Caramel at the vet two days ago. I had been expecting the worst on-and-off for the last two weeks or so. There she was in her cage, attached to an IV, her eyes were leaky and formed crusts on her face, she was thin, and her puffety-fluffety face was deflated. But, I opened the cage and stuck my head in and the purr-fest began, we cleaned her face, did some heavy-petting and got her happy-motor running.
She rested her paw on my hand.
Then, throughout the next day, yesterday I began to get bulletins from the vet: “She’s hungry!” “She’s eating!”
She ate three bowls of food during the day.
That is how life teases us. It is the “yin/yang” trick. It picks us up and makes us feel hopeful and then let’s us go and we hit the floor. We never think we could get up again, the pain and shock are too much, but somehow, there we are again, rising.
It all comes down to acceptance, caring and courage.
She’s hanging in there because she loves you as much you love her <3
Sorry for all the typos in my last post.
It should have read, some neuroscientists have even managed to train dogs to willingly and even happily go into an MRI machine for what are called an fMRI that are brain studies to see exactly what their emotional responses are. Making for some very fascinating reading 😀 🐕
I’m sure that if cats, who are also highly intelligent, could be trained to sit in an MRI the findings would be quite similar. So, the short answer, is yes, your cat loves you 🐈
It’s called caring. ❤️
She certainly seems to be happy 😀
You’re a very nice Mommy to your fur baby I’m sure she knows exactly who you are and how much you care about her. I’m sure she’s reciprocating the feelings.
I’m currently reading a book called The Dog Project. Some neuroscientists ever actually train dogs to willingly, and even seemingly happy, 6 year old for a fMRI. this is a study to see if dogs simply like us because we provide them with food and shelter or if they truly feel and reciprocate our feelings of love for them.
Seems to be quite clear. Dogs are sentient beings who if treated kindly and with love return it with their love and loyalty.
