The New New York on Wheels
Did you fellow New Yorkers ever think you’d see the day when there would be bike stations in Manhattan and Brooklyn for a quick rental and ride?
You can read about how it works here.
The station map is here.
The cost is here.
The rental agreement is here. (Hmmm)
A re-cap of day one is here.

Bikes are all over the place here too. From town councils to private hotels, you get dozens of hiring opportunities to cycle around the city avoiding traffic queues and lack of parking slots. What I’d love, though, are Segways. However, these are only allowed in very few places (Paris and few other large cities) for lack of traffic regulations – but what fun they would be!
Yep they have them allover Europe. We dont have them here in Melbourne because of the requirement to wear bike helmets. That is too difficult for the hire stands to deal with. Great idea though.

Those bikes are taking over the world, here they’ve been around since 2008.
